Good things take time to prepare and that is happening in South America . Brazil as the "Big Brother" is stepping with cautious speed (not to be flashed by a Radar !) but Chile , Argentina and Ecuador don’t stay behind and are moving slowly.
In Chile the Government has approved the construction of a 250 MW solar plant to be built by “Atacama Solar”. This project will be erected in one of the most solar irradiated place in the world which is the Atacama Desert .
In Ecuador the electricity authority has adopted a Feed-In Tariff system for the development of renewable energy. The regulations cover both continental Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands .
